The unit subsequent to ours in unoccupied and the owners own a bunch of mothballs in at hand. So much so you can smell it outside their front door! Now everyonce and a while it comes through my vents and make our house smell like a shaky mothball sent…I’ve contacted them to have them removed, surrounded by the mean time what can I use to rob away the smell?
Answers: If it is coming through the vents, in that isn’t much you can do, until the mothballs are removed (this is why one should never live in apts.or condos, IMO). You are going to enjoy to get hold of the paperwork there, and narrate them the smell is making you or your kids sick. You stand a much better chance of getting something done if you cause it a health issue, to some extent than a nuisance odor issue.
Unfortunately, merely time and loads of fresh air will effectively remove the moth orb smell. However, be very mean! I have not long learned of an elderly chap who had mothballs adjectives over his house. In the sofa, pockets of his clothing, everywhere and he developed a severe medical condition and they thought he was dying. Turned out he have simply poisoned himself with mothballs.
