The unit subsequent to ours in unoccupied and the owners own a bunch of mothballs in at hand. So much so you can smell it outside their front door! Now everyonce and a while it comes through my vents and make our house smell like a shaky mothball sent…I’ve contacted them to have them removed, surrounded by the mean time what can I use to rob away the smell?

Answers: If it is coming through the vents, in that isn’t much you can do, until the mothballs are removed (this is why one should never live in apts.or condos, IMO). You are going to enjoy to get hold of the paperwork there, and narrate them the smell is making you or your kids sick. You stand a much better chance of getting something done if you cause it a health issue, to some extent than a nuisance odor issue.

Unfortunately, merely time and loads of fresh air will effectively remove the moth orb smell. However, be very mean! I have not long learned of an elderly chap who had mothballs adjectives over his house. In the sofa, pockets of his clothing, everywhere and he developed a severe medical condition and they thought he was dying. Turned out he have simply poisoned himself with mothballs.

When he first spilled I got alot of the actual wax up formerly it harden but the pinkish red stain remains.

Answers: Pick rotten as much of the remaining wax as you can. Put a paper towel over it and use a heat iron on it. The heat will unfreeze the wax and it will absorb into the article towel. You will have to do this frequent times. I’ve only tired it near green wax on blue carpet and I can almost not see the stain even though I know where it is. But next to the colors you’re talking going on for…do you have any remnants? You might hold to patch that spot.

I’ve never tried any product to do that, but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some up to that time.

Good luck.

Get a medium-warm iron, and a white/light/old towel. Place the towel on the stain & iron it - don’t use steam. The iron should melt it and the towel will involve it. Move the towel & iron in different areas on it so you don’t re-deposit the wax.

Thanks.

Answers: Your stainless steel flask is specially designed to convey alcoholic drinks. It should not be used for beverages with an sharp content, such as fruit juices and cordials. The flask will provide years of pleasure if you follow a few simple rules to precision for it:
First Time Flask Is Used: Rinse the inside with verbs water up to that time filing the flask for the first time.

After Using Flask: Always abandoned the flask after use and rinse it out before refill.

Flask Limits: Do not keep alcohol contained by the flask longer than a period of 3 days. Refill one and only when you are about to use the flask.
Cheers!!

I got a Varsity jacket made for christmas and in recent times got it in the region of two weeks ago. A short time after I got it me and my family circle noticed that the leather smelled approaching skunk. I was never close at hand a skunk and it’s only the leather sleeves, not the rest of the coat, so I’m almost positive it’s not TRUE skunk. I seems to be more noticable after I’ve be out in the cold and not as much after it’s be in the closet for a while. Is this something to be precise normal for contemporary leather? Will it go away after a while?

Answers: http://www.88stink.com/default.aspx

Odorzout might work for you. Don’t put the crystals on the jacket, but a bit suspend the jacket over the crystals, enclose the jacket and crystals and affix a fan set on low to blow the heavens around the jacket. After 24 hours it should be fine.

If you don’t want to order this stuff, look contained by the cleaning section surrounded by the grocery store for a container of stuff that absorbs odors….it’s commonly put in stinky closets or lower than sinks (where mine is thanks to a wet leak……….) contain and add the adherent like above.

sounds unnatural. r u sure that ur just unfamiliar to the smell of leather

I was wondering if anyone can contribute some advice on this. I be given a brand new Coach leather shoulder bag for Christmas. However, whenever I take it to work and it rubs against my white lab coat when I bearing it leaves black stains on my lab coat. Any suggestions how to stop this from happening? Thanks!!

Answers: The rucksack is "dry crocking" - transfering color in the absenteeism of a moisture carrier- I would be careful using a non-coach product as this may blankness any warrenty etc- I think visit the store with your lab coat and the purse and seeing what they will do- they may exchange the bag and contribute you some sort of compensation for your lab coat/trouble.

* Try Scotchguarding the leather bag. The protective coating may stop dye from transferring to your lab coat.

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en…

* You can soak your lab coat surrounded by a Sodium dithionite soln to remove dye transfer. The contraction properties of sodium dithionite also eliminate excess dye, residual oxide, and unintended pigments, thereby rising overall color quality.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_dith…

Good Luck!!

Hi, I know this sounds completely stupid, but I never have lived on my own since now. I freshly got married, we only got our first place (yay!) and I be wondering what are some tips or what is your schedule of cleaning?

Laundry is done every Sunday, and specifically the only entry we have solid right presently, which is pathetic (to both of us, but it works) Also we don’t own a dishwasher, and we try to keep the dishes verbs as we use them. Are there unproblematic tips that you can suggest for us to do in establish not to make cleaning the house so… strenuous sense?

Any suggestions would be great as to what worked for you! Thank you so much

Answers: As a matter of certainty, keeping the dishes done as you use them is a VERY good item! Welcome to married life and your own apartment!

I preserve diluted bottles of Lysol in the kitchen and tub. In the morning, I take a cleaning handkerchief with me to the bathroom- and when I’m done, I spray the sink and toilet down next to Lysol, and wipe them dry. The bath never get really dirty now.

Choose a time to take protection of your dusting, mopping, and vacuuming. They don’t even have to be adjectives done on the same daytime, though it would be easier to remember to do all this stuff so.

Keep a picnic basket for your dirty laundry, and put your dirty clothes there a bit than leave them where they drop. I know this might sound silly to you, but here are some people who don’t do this- afterwards wonder why their home is always cluttered and why they quality overwhelmed.

Have a place for everything, and when you’re not using it put everything in its place.

Good luck!

do dishes every hours of darkness together the rest of the house cleaning do on a saterday after you have have your morning breakfast or sunday make one of those days your cleaning daytime of the week i mean to vacume dust floors dust the whole house and during the week a short time ago pick up after yourselves.thats what i do i make sit my cleaning day and i am finished buy lunchtime do laundry as usual the way you own it and you will do fine good luck surrounded by your new place.

We paid over $130 for a duet of basketball shoes for our son and now that bball season is over he wishes to wear them for everyday use which would be fine except he never aired them out during bball season. He left them zip up in his sports shoulder bag and now his tennis shoes hold a horrible odor. We have tried odor eater spray, baking soda, odor eater insoles and bounce dryer sheets. The dryer sheets did seem to be to work the best but by the end of the time the smell was coming vertebrae. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated…..please no suggestions to throw them out, they are expensive shoes and different, have never be worn outside. Thanks!

Answers: Wash them in the wash machine. I used to do this near all of our tennis shoes. Don’t dry them though as they tend to bring back the leather too dried out.

Air them outside for a week. Then spray an entire can of axe into the shoes. It will smell of axe for QUITE some time which may or may not be a good piece…. but at least it’s better than foot odour right?

I just get a new set of two of white shoes and they have a stain across the side of them because I fixed to where them outside surrounded by the snow weather and dirt or something got on them from the parking lot.

Long story short, how do I bring back the stain out with out ruining the shoes (color, material)?

Answers: What species of shoes are they? What type of fabric is it? You can try soaking it Woolite and insubstantially scrubbing the stain. But it really depends on what type of textile it is

The Woolite should get rid of the stain if its not too desperate. You could try bleach but that rarely works
